Age-Proof Your Skin with these 5 Daily Habits to Prevent Wrinkles

Wrinkles are one of the dreaded signs of aging. Most of us want to delay the onset of wrinkles, or at least reduce their appearance, for as long as possible. While there are many expensive pills and potions promising to keep your skin smooth and supple, most people can reduce the appearance of wrinkles with five simple daily habits.

1. Skin Care Routine

A good skin care routine is essential for all skin types. Daily cleansing is important for removing dirt, grime, and makeup, which can clog pores and lead to spots, greasy or dry skin.

As part of your daily skin care routine, use a mild cleanser to clean your face and neck, followed by a skin toner to remove any residue. Eye cream and moisturiser should also be used daily to help keep skin nourished and hydrated. Once or twice a week, use a gentle facial scrub to remove dead skin cells and a face mask to pull dirt from the pores.

It helps improve different kinds of skin problems and delays aging over long-time use.

The History Of Whoo Gongjinhyang: Seol Whitening Lotion contains 7 kinds of skin-soothing and 8 kinds of skin-whitening ancient Korean herbs, together with Chamomile extract, which help boost skin whitening effect. With a serum-like texture, it absorbs easily into the skin and does not leave a sticky feeling, keeping your skin supple and translucent.

2. Antioxidants

Harmful free radicals are produced as a result of many different factors, including environmental pollutants, cigarette smoke and stress.Free radicals accelerate the aging of skin cells and increase the likelihood of illness and serious diseases, including cancer.

Antioxidants, including vitamins A, C and E, can neutralise the harmful effects of free radicals. While supplements can help to boost your intake of antioxidants, they are usually unnecessary for otherwise healthy adults. You can increase your intake of antioxidants by eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, particularly leafy green vegetables and berries.

3. Hydration

Poor hydration leads to dry skin that is prone to sagging, wrinkling and certain skin conditions. Increasing your daily intake of fluids helps to keep the skin, as well as the body, healthy and hydrated. Water, fruit tea, herbal tea, fruit juices, smoothies, milkshake and vegetable juices all count towards your daily fluid intake.
Liquid contained in foods, such as fruit, vegetables, soups and stews, also count towards fluid intake. Some drinks, most notably coffee and alcohol, act as a diuretic and contribute to skin dryness.

4. Exercise

Regular exercise improves circulation to the skin and promotes healthier, younger-looking skin. Walking, cycling, swimming, dancing and aerobic activities are all great ways to boost circulation to the skin, while yoga and pilates are excellent for improving skin tone.

Just twenty minutes of exercise a day can make a big difference to the appearance of your skin. Ideally, you should aim to include both aerobic activities and strengthening exercises as part of your fitness plan.

5. Relaxation

Stress and anxiety triggers the release of hormones and chemicals into the bloodstream. These hormones and chemicals damage skin cells and lead to general ill health. While it's impossible to avoid stress completely, you can minimize the impact of stress by learning how to relax.

Meditation, visualisation and other relaxation techniques are great ways to relieve stress. Try to incorporate relaxation into your daily life, particularly during times of stress.

Aging is an inevitable process that takes its toll on your skin, leading to fine lines, wrinkles, skin sagging and age spots. However, taking care of your skin and your general health can reduce the impact of aging on your skin.

Eye Massage Techniques

Your eyes are one of the first things people notice when they look at you and unfortunately they are also where the first signs of aging appear. If you want to maintain a youthful look it is important to provide your eyes with a little tender love and care.

Benefits of Eye Massage

An eye massage is one of the best things you can do for your eyes because it delivers so many benefits:

  • If you have problems with sinuses/allergies an eye massage can improve blood circulation and relieves sinus pressure. Relieving these symptoms can also help reduce puffiness and dark circles.
  • The lymphatic system is positively affected by eye massage because it will speed up lymph drainage. Lymph is a bodily fluid that gets rid of bacteria by catching and then releasing it fromour bodies. Getting rid of toxins in the body can promote a clearer, brighter, more even skin tone.
  • Fine lines and wrinkles can be ceased with a simple eye massage. Targeting certain areas around the eye can help reduce stress, headaches, and tension. Many times when one or more of these things occur we squint our eyes and consistently squinting can eventually cause wrinkles around the eye, relieving these symptoms will cease squinting and reduce wrinkles.
  • An eye massage can also improve the way your products perform. Pressing formulas deep into your pores will allow them to drive through layers of the skin they may not have been able to normally.

Performing an Eye Massage

Carrying out an eye massage is simple all you need is two minutes and a product to create a slip, here’s what you’ll need to do:

  • Begin with your finger at the beginning of the brow, sweep out and around the entire eye socket including the bridge of the nose. Repeat this motion 8-10 times.
  •  Find two pressure points, one directly above the eyebrow arch and the other below the   beginning of the brow and push firmly for 3 seconds.

  • Push firmly on the temples for 3 seconds.
  • Use the thumbs to activate the pressure point directly above the inner corners of the eyes, press the area cautiously then release, repeat this step 5 times.
  • Use your two middle fingers to rub the temples up and down for about 1 minute.
  • Place both index finger on the back of the head directly behind the eyes and massage for one minute. This area can be delicate so be sure to use caution when massaging the head.

Brand rave... Benefit

Ahhh, as a typical girl, we just can't get enough of Benefit! What's not to like about the cute brand? It's fun, its packaging rocks, its products awesome and their names always amuse us to no end!

Benefit was founded in 1976 by a pair of twin sisters - Jean and Jane. It was a beauty boutique in San Francisco with a whimsical candy store atmosphere. "Who says makeup has to be serious to be good?" they said. The twins then successfully built Benefit Cosmetics into a global beauty brand, with over 2,000 counters in more than 30 countries.

These are our all-time and new favourite Benefit items:

We love this product so much! And we're naturally a fickle bunch, especially when it comes to cosmetics. But this stain, which we DO use on both our cheeks and lips for the most natural yet alluring blush and pout, has us hooked for five years now! We just keep going back to it. And despite using it every day, it lasts us for a good year and half per bottle - talk about value for money!

Psst, do you also know the legend behind Benetint? Jean and Jane created this in 1977 for an exotic dancer who requested something to make her nipples look pretty and pink. "The sexiest flush you can get from a bottle" soared to cult fave status... today it endures as a favourite of celebrities, makeup artists and girls all over the world. Well, we hear ya!

Benefit High Beam is a pink pearl liquid highlighter leaves a young, radiant, fresh complexion on all skin tones. Apply on top of makeup to your T-Zone area and cheekbones. For a sheer overall radiance, you can also blend it with your liquid foundation or moisturiser.

We've came to be acquainted with this product only recently but we're blown away by the natural subtle glow it provides when applied very sparingly above your cheekbones and at the inner corners of your eyes. There was a day where we had very little sleep the night before and just a dot of High Beam on our cheekbones and our eyes' inner corners, viola! Instant radiance!

Have you smelt this product and the rest of its range before? So fresh, so light - we feel a little smile curling up on our lips every time we apply it to our face. This eye cream fades dark circles and helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger looking eyes. It contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity and firmness, a blend of hydrating botanical extracts including apple extract, known to help boost collagen, and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage.

With a big, bad brush and a rich, black formula, Benefit BADgal lash mascara is like wearing a set of false eyelashes without the glue. With perfect waterproof! After applying it on, we have gorgeous and seductive lashes - so dope!
