How to Get a Sexy, All-Over Tan

With spring just around the corner, you'll probably soon be showing off more skin than you did during the fall and winter months.

If you're not excited about revealing pale, pasty skin that hasn't seen the sun in ages, it's time to make a plan to obtain the golden, bronzed look that will make you the envy of your friends. Even better is an all-over tan without tan lines to limit your fashion choices for the balmy, breezy season ahead.

Opt for a Spray Tan

If your skin is too fair to brave the sun's rays or if you simply don't like to while away the hours soaking up the sun, choose a spray tan for a quick option to get that seamless splash of color. Remember to skip the deodorant and moisturizer the day you tan since it can interfere with your skin's ability to absorb the pigment. Also, wear loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing to avoid staining your favorite garments when you get dressed afterward. If the chemicals in conventional spray tans concern you, opt for an organic version instead.

Infused with conditioning aloe vera and long-lasting color, the innovative Aromaguard™ fragrance technology eliminates the tell-tale self tan aroma by a minimum of 70% and instead gives a beautiful subtle, yet refreshing fragrance. Never orange, St. Tropez Tan always gives a beautiful, golden color.

Find a Secluded Spot to Tan

If nothing less than the feel of the sun on your skin will do for you to get that perfect tan, look for a secluded spot where you can tan safely in the buff without risk of discovery. If your home has a yard that's enclosed by a privacy fence, you're all set. Just ensure that none of the nearby neighbors can peek into your space from their second story windows. When tanning nude, make sure to cover yourself everywhere with a sunscreen with a high SPF to avoid tanning those delicate areas that haven't seen the sun in a long time.

Take a Load Off

If you prefer to just kick back and relax while you tan indoors, choose a tanning salon that offers the use of tanning beds. You'll be able to safely tan in the nude without having to worry about prying eyes or amateur photographers glimpsing you in the altogether.

Tanning in a tanning bed also allows you to build a base tan in preparation for spending time outdoors in the near future. If you're heading to warm, sunny climes for a spring vacation, this is the perfect option to start the tanning process before you hit the beach in your new bikini.

Spare the Expense

If you'd like to get an all-over glow without investing a lot of time or money, simply select a smooth-on tanning product to add some healthy color to your skin. Unlike older products that often gave users an orange cast, the newer options that are available will mimic the natural bronze color you'd gain in the sun. Apply products smoothly and evenly for the best results and allow them to dry thoroughly afterward.

While creating the tan of your dreams does require some time and effort, you'll be glad you bothered when you're able to shed your winter duds for springtime fashions and look as if you spent your winter vacationing in a sun-soaked spot far from home.
