5 Beauty Tips Every Expecting Mother Should Know

Pregnancy obviously does several things to your body. As a matter of fact, it can do more than just change your body physically. Pregnancy can affect your mood and even your emotions. It can also change your mind in an instant and even influence the way you feel about yourself.

However, although there are a lot of things that can happen when you’re pregnant, it still isn’t enough reason to not take care of yourself. In fact, it's actually the time you should double your effort. Here are some of the best ways you can enhance that pregnancy glow:

     Check your beauty products.
Pregnancy affects your hormonal balance. As a result, you tend to develop more acne than you were in your pre-pregnancy state. As such, using salicylic acid at this time can be really tempting. Don’t!

The use of salicylic acid during pregnancy, whether applied on your skin or taken in oral form is strongly discouraged. Salicylic acids can cause not just birth defects but miscarriages as well. It can even cause organ and bleeding problems to both you and your baby.
Retinoids, on the same note, can also cause malformations and defects in your child. It won’t matter how short your exposure is or how much you took. The main point is that you should not take risks on such ingredients when you’re pregnant

     Choose organic products.

There could probably be no safer beauty product for pregnant women to try than organic products. These products do not contain chemical names on their labels and they do not cause severe skin reactions and even irritations.

     Take enough rest.

Getting enough sleep and rest is very important whether you are pregnant or not. This is the time where your body heals and rejuvenates itself from everything it has experienced the entire day. However, aside from your normal sleep requirement, you must also invest on frequent rest periods. You can take breaks in between tasks and just sit down and prop your feet up. Your tired legs will really be thankful for it.

     Keep hydrated.

With a growing baby bump, it can be really hard to keep a certain amount of water in your bladder. You’ll need frequent trips to the toilet.

However, staying hydrated during pregnancy is very important. It can keep pregnancy symptoms at bay and your vital functions on top condition. Water is also vital in your breast milk. You wouldn’t want your child to have too little of it, right?

In more recent news, a study revealed that a pregnant woman needs to have around 10 cups of fluids per day. This already includes your glasses of milk, cups of tea and even your vegetable juices. You must keep in mind, however, being mindful of what you drink and to stay away from sweet and carbonated drinks.

     Do your exercise.

Pregnancy is not an excuse to stop all forms of exercise. However, you can still have the option to omit this part.

There a lot of things you need to consider once you decide to continue with your physical routine. You need to take in consideration what type of activity your body can perform and what your doctor allows you to do. Generally speaking, exercise can be helpful in preparing you for both labor and childbirth.

Being pregnant can be a mix of emotions. However, not feeling pretty shouldn’t be one of them. Pregnancy is a celebration of life, right? You should make the most out of it.

You can perfect this look so easily by enhancing your natural beauty and achieving a flawless bare look with minimal/natural makeup. So the next time you’re prepping for a party, just go with a nude foundation or a BB, no mascara, no liner, no eyeshadow, just come-as-you-are. 2.   All-Over Eyeshadow

Shows like Dior, Fendi and Peter Som have used bright colored stickers made of leather or satin to surround the upper and lower eye lids and make a bold statement. Cream foundations and wipes of lipstick are perfect to achieve this look. Achieve this look with the Pro Longwear Paint Pot from M.A.C. It is cream based and will work perfect with any M.A.C. shadow or liner.

Bloody red or deep berry, softly defused around the edges and pressed with a fingertip. You can achieve this look so easy with the Giorgio Armani Rouge Ecstasy CC Lipstick that feels soft and light, gives you color plus care for quite a long and is also available in many other shades.
4.   Rock Star Statements

Weird rock star experiments were seen a lot in this spring season. Some statements such as gothic wings or glam-rock pops of glitter at the corners of or around eyes, choppy bowl cut in a roman style, and brow piercing were seen everywhere this fashion season. So pick any style and make it your own gypset boho statement this spring.
5.   Undone Hair

It feels young and cool to just air dry your hair or leave deconstructed knots and loose. Not done hair rather the polished ponytail is in this spring. You can style perceptible bend at the ends with center partings with any spring’s prints and it will go.

Fashion is what you confidently wear. So wear your confidence and rock any style that pleases you. 2015 fashion is easy and doable all by yourself. So, leave those knots at the end of your hair undone and apply some dark red lipstick on a nude makeup and you are all set for any occasion.

Foundation Tips for Mature and Young Skin

Foundation is one of the most complex beauty products because of the wide variety of formulas, textures, and ways to apply it. However, there are easy ways to achieve that fresh, glowy finish no matter what your age is. Follow these 6 simple tips to apply a perfect foundation.

1. Prep Your Skin

The first rule to applying foundation is to make sure that your skin is well-hydrated. It helps foundation to glide on more smoothly. For mature skin, slathering moisturizer on beforehand will instantly plump up your skin and make fine lines less visible. Primer is a skippable step unless you have to minimize pores and correct redness, or your makeup has to last through the day.

2. Choose the Right Foundation

Acne is a common skin complaint for young people, but that doesn’t mean they cannot use foundation. Choose a product with labels such as "non-oily,” “hypoallergenic” and “noncomedogenic”, which does not irritate the skin and improves complexion at the same time. If you do not have acne problems, choose a foundation that caters for the needs of your skin, such as a hydrating or oil-controlling formula.

Nowadays, many foundations are formulated with anti-aging and face-lifting benefits, which are ideal for mature women. An important tip for choosing foundation is to pick according to seasons. In winter, you may need a cream foundation which is more moisturizing. In summer, skin tends to become oily and a light foundation or even a tinted moisturizer will do.

3. Find Your Shade

To find the perfect shade, test foundation on your jawline and check it in the daylight. If the color is correct, it should disappear without blending. You can ask a beauty adviser at a store to help you pick the perfect color.

4. Apply It the Right Way

The best way to apply foundation is to blend thin layers into the skin. Take a dab of foundation and apply on the centre of the face, round the nose, mouth areas, chin and centre of the forehead, then blend it outward until it becomes thinner, which helps achieve a much more natural finish.

You may use fingers, a brush or a sponge to apply foundation, depending on the format of the foundation and coverage you want. For thinner foundations and a little coverage, use your fingers. For compact foundation, a sponge is preferred. To get an airbrushed look, use a brush or the Beautyblender Cosmetic Sponge, a cult favorite among the makeup pros.

5. Conceal after Foundation

Applying concealer after foundation can prevent using more concealer than you need. Choose a color that is one shade lighter than your skin, as too light will give a fake look. Use a small, pointy brush to cover the darkest part of under-eye circles, usually below the inner eye corners. Dab on a bit of concealer on other skin flaws or blemishes that aren’t covered by the foundation as well.

6. Finish off with Loose Powder

Use a translucent or light-reflecting loose powder which helps give a luminous touch and control shine. Pour some powder on the lid of the container and dip it with a powder blush. Tap the brush over the lid to remove any excess. Gently dust your face with the powder, starting from the forehead, down to the cheekbones, bridge of your nose, and the chin.

Choosing the right foundation and applying it the right way are keys to getting that fresh, youthful glow. Do you have any secret tips in creating a flawless look? Let us know in the comments!
