10 Minute Secret to Getting The Perfect Make-up

As the cliche goes, time is gold. For most women, getting one or two extra hours every morning to get ready for the office can seem like a miracle.

It rarely happens. Fortunately, there’s actually no point in spending two full hours getting dolled up when you can look as glamorous in just ten minutes.

Take a look at these essential steps and you’ll never look at your morning makeup routine the same way again:

Hair

Estimated time: 4 minutes

Amika Dry Shampoo

Washing your hair can really be time consuming. As a solution, you can opt for dry shampoo instead. Prior to its application, make sure you have combed and detangled your hair thoroughly. Use the dry shampoo close to the roots and do a rubbing motion to make sure it absorbs the oil and grease in your hair.

As for styling, you can skip the use of heating devices this time. You can just pull your hair back into a ponytail. If you want to create a different look, you can try putting your hair in a braid or just let it hang loose if you prefer the natural look.

Makeup

Estimated time: 6 minutes

Face

For a fresh and vibrant look in the morning, you can splash your face with cool water to revive your dull skin. Tinted moisturizers, like the BB creams, are your best options when you’re in a rush and you still want to look flawless.

Eyes

Instead of eye shadows, you can use shadow pencils. You can just glide it on your eyelids forming sharp lines or just smudge the color for extra drama. You can sweep some concealers on your dark under eyes and fill in your brows to make you more awake.

As for mascara, choose brands with curling effects. It can give your lashes the length and flare they need to look more noticeable.

Cheeks

Add a hint of color to your face by swiping a bit of blush on the apples of your cheeks. Blend everything well to make you look naturally glowing.

Lips

Tinted lip balms are good alternatives if you want to skip the accuracy lipsticks need. You can even dab the color on your way out of the door or when you’re starting your car.

Life is meant to be lived and beauty is meant to be appreciated. Why waste too much time in front of your mirror?.

10 Beauty Tips Every Woman Needs to Know

Let’s admit it – it’s every woman’s dream to look fabulous. Getting your regular facials, putting on trendy makeup and updating your hairstyle once in awhile can certainly make you look and feel good. However, beauty secrets count too!
Here are our tips on gorgeous hair, glowing skin and marvelous makeup to give your confidence an extra boost.

1. Nail Polish Chip Remedy
This is a familiar scenario: you get a perfect manicure done, and not even a day later your nail polish chips. The good news is, instead of removing all your nail polish and applying again, you can make use of glittery or textured polish to hide the chips, because they look sort of uneven, so they are great for fix-it situations.

2. Off, Glitter!
We all love glittery, sparkly lacquer, but they are so hard to remove. A trick for taking them off is to use felt instead of a cotton ball.

3. Walk the Line
If you also happen to have the least steady hands on the earth, try this mistake-proof trick when applying eyeliner. Holding your liquid eyeliner horizontally, use the broader side of the tip instead of the fine point, and press it into your lash line. This way you can line your eyes in three to four quick stamps instead of trying to draw a straight line.

4. Mega Volume
The classic and effective business card mascara trick gives your lashes major volume and a curl boost. Place a business card or index card behind your lashes before applying mascara, so as to cover your eyelid. Starting at the roots, swipe mascara all the way to the tip. You can let the wand fly to lengthen and curl your lashes, because the mascara will just hit the card! You will be left with full and thick lashes in seconds.

5. Statement Lipstick
Red lipstick has always been, and still is a huge trend. The right red lipstick will light up your hair, eyes and skin immediately while the wrong one will not give you your best look. When choosing a red lipstick, remember to get one that looks good with your undertone. If you have a warm undertone, go for warmer reds, and if you have a cool undertone, then go for cooler ones.

If you’re afraid of red lipstick, put a little bit on and then blot it off to wear it as more of a stain. Another way to make it less intense? Apply with your fingertip instead of straight from the tube.

6. Start Glowing
How do some women always have that enviable glow on their skin? The secret lies in exfoliation. Instead of going to pricey facials, at-home facials can work just as well.

There a number of ways to do at-home treatments, but look first to sugar, one of nature’s skin-sloughing agents. Apply a sugar scrub in gentle circular motions, followed by a lukewarm wash and pat-dry. This can do wonders for your skin. Follow with a light steam by boiling a pot of water, removing it from the stove and standing over it for a few minutes.

7. Cleansed Scalp
Build-ups from shampoos and styling products can block hair follicles and lead to possible hair loss. Use a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of any build-ups that may have occurred during the week.

8. Perfect Beachy Waves
If you wish to add volume and curve to your hair, try this simple trick: after washing it, add a dime-size dollop of light mousse (that's key), and put it into one big braid. When you undo the braid midday, you have perfect waves with body and volume.

9. DIY Body Scrub
While faces often get scrub treatment, our bodies are neglected and can take a beating from dry legs, elbows and arms. However, there is an easy, quick remedy. And it might be in your kitchen. Mix coconut oil, kosher salt or sugar, and some minced basil into a paste, and scrub away.

10. Silk Smooth
To get soft, silky body skin, keep a bottle of body oil in the shower. After the shower, rub it over your still-damp arms and legs, then pat dry and you are good to go – with amazingly smooth skin.

9 Easy Steps to a Perfect Makeup

Have you ever wondered how you can use your makeup to get a natural and glowy look? Knowing a few basics can help you create that flawless style

1. Start with a clean face

Cleanse and tone your face. It will make your skin look perfectly clean and help rid it of dead skin, blackheads, sebum, and dirt. It helps prepare your skin for applying makeup – this is a really important step!

2. Apply a SPF moisturizer

Choose a good SPF moisturizer that is suitable for your skin type. It helps keep your skin hydrated. If your moisturizer does not have SPF, apply a sunscreen on top.

3. Choose a suitable primer

Applying a primer before foundation can help seal pores, correct red and dull skin, and cover imperfections. It also softens your skin and makes your complexion smooth and glowy.

4. Foundation is next

If you already have flawless skin, you can use a tinted moisturizer. If you want a bit more coverage, use a foundation. You should pick a shade which is closest to your skin color.

Put a bit of foundation on the back of your hand, dab it with a foundation brush or your fingers and smooth it onto your face. Make sure to blend along the jawline so you don't have that tell-tale line. Tips: foundation is meant to even out your skin tone. Don't apply too much to avoid a caked-on look.

5. Next up: Concealer

Choose a concealer that is close to your skin tone, one that is not too dark or too light. Apply concealer on any blemishes, red spots or dark circles. You can use a brush or fingers to apply it, and then blend it in with fingers.

6. Set your makeup

Set your face with a light dusting of translucent powder. Gently dab the setting powder all over the face with a powder brush.

7. Color your cheeks

Apply blush on the apples of your cheeks. If you want to appear sun-kissed, apply a bronzer on the forehead, nose and cheeks as well.

8. Apply eye makeup

Apply a dab of eye shadow primer first to make your eyeshadow last. For a simple eye makeup, apply a base shade on the lid of the eye, and then apply a darker contouring shadow in the crease. Make sure to blend the colors well.

Next, apply eyeliner to upper eyelids. For an intense look, apply eyeliner to the lower lash line too and smudge it a bit. Then, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply mascara. Place the mascara wand at the roots of your lashes, slowly wiggling it from left to right while bringing it up to separate lashes.

9. And finally, the lips

Depending on the look you opt for, choose a suitable lip product. For a simple day-to-day look, just wear a lip balm or gloss. For an elegant evening look, fill in your lips with lip liner and apply a lipstick in the same color, then finish with a gloss.

Once you get the hang of these easy steps, you are bound to achieve that natural and glowy look. Do you have any important steps to your make-up routine? Let us know!
